Don’t miss this unique new holiday show based on the acclaimed CD by Brooklyn Hall of Famer and Performer of the Year, Jake Ehrenreich, and Grammy Award winner and Oscar nominee, Roger Kellaway.
The performance features five world-class musicians performing cool jazz versions of Holiday Classics written by Jewish songwriters. Exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, multi-media celebrity interviews, and much more add to this one-of-a-kind performance with universal appeal.
Growing up in Brooklyn, Jake Ehrenreich – a child of Holocaust survivors – kept his deep love of Christmas music hidden. As an adult, he learned that many of his favorites were written by people much like himself – as in the case of Isadore Beilin – born Irving Berlin, who wrote the classic White Christmas.
Included in the concert are many rarely heard verses to classic songs like “Silver Bells,” “Winter Wonderland” and “White Christmas,” plus all new renditions of “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “The Christmas Song,” “Let It Snow,” “I’ll be Home for Christmas,” “Christmastime is Here” and many other favorites.
